What is India KYC?

 KYC = know your customer, i.e. identity certificate and address certificate recognized by the government.

KYC is divided into individual KYC and company KYC, namely individual KYC and company KYC.
Personal KYC
All goods sent or received from India require KYC documents of the consignee (proof of identity and address recognized by the government) to be presented to the customs during the customs clearance of the goods (Reference: Customs Circular No. 9 / 2010). In order to speed up transportation and avoid delay, please fill in the following security form and upload your KYC file. Please note: you only need to complete this process once. Your information is only used for the purpose of complying with KYC.
Individuals need to provide one of the following documents as proof of ID and address. The address certificate shall be consistent with the shipping address mentioned on the shipment.
a) Aadhar card
b) Passport / Passport
c) Voter ID / voter ID
d) A separate proof of address is required for PAN card / PAN card
If the address on your KYC file does not match the shipping address, please provide one of the following address supporting documents.
a) Bank account statement
b) Electricity bill
c) LPG connection receipt
d) Rent agreement
e) Telephone bill
f) Ration card
 
Company KYC

KYC of the company generally refers to the following supporting documents:
1.Company GST Copy
2.Company IEC Certificate Copy (Import Export Certificate)
3.Authorization Letter with Stamp & Sign
